4. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Third-Party Services
Our website uses a combination of essential, analytics, and advertising technologies. Below we describe each one, what it does, and what data it may process.
Essential Services (always active)
These services are necessary for the site to function securely. They do not require your consent and are active on every visit.
Cloudflare Turnstile
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our contact forms to prevent automated spam and bot submissions. Turnstile is a privacy-preserving CAPTCHA alternative operated by Cloudflare, Inc. It may collect information about your browser environment and interaction patterns to determine whether a submission is human. No personal data from Turnstile is used for advertising.

Session Cookies (Owner Portal / Dashboard)
If you access a password-protected area of our site, we use session cookies to maintain your authenticated state during your visit. These cookies expire when your browser session ends and contain no personally identifiable information beyond a temporary session identifier.
Map and Location Services (active on relevant pages)
Google Maps
Property detail pages may display embedded Google Maps to show a property's location. When a Google Maps embed loads, Google may collect information such as your IP address and browser information.

Our property search pages use Mapbox to render interactive listing maps. Mapbox may collect technical information about your browser and session to operate the map service.

Analytics (loaded only with your consent)
Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC)
With your consent via the cookie banner, our site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to analyze how visitors interact with the site. GA4 may collect:
- Pages viewed and navigation paths
- Time spent on each page
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Approximate location (city/region level, derived from IP address, not precise location)
- Referral source (how you arrived at the site)
- Search queries and listing interactions
Why we use it: To understand which content is most useful to visitors, how users navigate the site, and where to focus improvement efforts.
Data processor: Google LLC. The data collected by GA4 is transmitted to and processed by Google. When you Accept cookies, we may also use related Google advertising tags for remarketing (see Advertising below).
Your control: Analytics cookies are only loaded if you click "Accept" on the cookie consent banner when you first visit the site. If you click "Decline," no GA4 cookies are set and no analytics data is transmitted to Google. You can change your preference at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page.

Advertising and remarketing (loaded only with your consent)
When you click Accept on the cookie banner, we may load advertising pixels so we can show relevant real estate ads to people who visited our site, including visitors who scanned a yard sign QR code and landed on a listing page.
Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.)
Used to measure visits and build Custom Audiences for Facebook and Instagram ads. Events may include page views and a custom "YardSignScan" event when you arrive from a Citadel yard sign QR link.
Google Ads remarketing tags (Google LLC)
Used to measure visits and build remarketing audiences in Google Ads, including yard sign QR landings.
Your control: Advertising pixels load only after Accept. Decline keeps analytics and advertising pixels off. You can change your preference anytime via Cookie Preferences in the footer.
Open house sign-in has a separate optional checkbox for uploading your email or phone to Google or Meta customer lists. That is not the same as the site pixel.
5. Cookie Preferences and Consent Management
When you first visit our site, a cookie banner will ask whether you consent to analytics and advertising cookies. Your choice is saved for future visits.
To change your preference at any time: use the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page on citadelcofield.com. This will reopen the consent interface and allow you to accept or withdraw analytics and advertising consent.
You may also control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect certain functionality of the site (such as the property search map or portal authentication). Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on your ability to browse listings or contact us.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our site is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take our obligations seriously and will notify you of a confirmed breach affecting your personal data as required by applicable law.
7. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and transaction-related communications for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected and to comply with our obligations as a licensed brokerage.
For Google Analytics data, retention is governed by our GA4 property settings and Google's data retention policies. You can learn more at Google's Analytics Help Center.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to our legal and brokerage record-keeping obligations)
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time by replying to any email from us with "unsubscribe" or contacting us directly
- Withdraw analytics consent at any time via the Cookie Preferences link in the footer

9. California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information.
We do not sell your personal information. Depending on how California regulators interpret the term "sharing" as it applies to analytics services like Google Analytics 4, transmitting analytics data to Google may qualify as "sharing" under the CPRA in certain circumstances.
